The role requires Catia V5/V6 proficiency, surface modelling, DFM/DFA know-how, and ability to coordinate offshore tasks while guiding cross-functional teams toward timely delivery and high quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in seating system design and development.
• Proficient in Catia V5/V6 with surface modelling.
• Knowledge of FMVSS and ECE regulatory requirements.
• Strong understanding of DFM and DFA.
• Experience coordinating offshore tasks and leading cross-functional teams.
• Design considering packaging, styling, and vehicle performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop seating systems from concept to mass production.
• Design seating parts including sheet metal and plastics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for quality and schedule.
• Guide team on continuous quality improvement.
• Oversee offshore coordination to meet deadlines.

Job description

• Design & Development of Seating systems with 10+ Years experience
• Design of all seating parts - Sheet metal, plastics and surrounding parts from the concept to mass production
• 3D, 2D and 3DA experience in Catia V5 & Catia V6 with good Surface modelling skills.
• Design Considering the Package, styling, vehicle regulation & performance
• Experience in FMVSS, ECE regulatory requirements
• Good knowledge in Occupant safety regulation
• Need to understand the Design for Manufacturing (DFM) & DFA
• Intermediate checking with cross functional team and check Module level
• Offshore coordination for tasks on schedule with desired quality
• Guide team on continuous quality improvement
