Job summary

PacifiCorp in Washington is seeking a Journeyman Meter and Relay Technician who can install, maintain, test and repair substation protection, control, and metering equipment, including relays, meters, and SCADA interfaces.

The role requires a high school diploma, an electrical apprenticeship, 4+ years in the meter and relay trade, a valid CMV medical card, and the ability to pass a skills test. Travel and emergency overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completed electrical apprenticeship or equivalent program.
• 4+ years experience in the meter & relay trade.
• Must pass a pre-qualifying skills test.
• Good driving record.
• Commercial Motor Vehicle Medical Card (CMV).
• Physical exam required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test and repair substation equipment including protection, control, and metering equipment.
• Operate substation equipment and SCADA remote controls.
• Follow safety rules and company standards; may work in confined spaces or at heights.
• May work independently or with others and perform overtime during emergencies.
