Peninsula Light Company is seeking a skilled Meterman to install, program, calibrate, and maintain all types of meters and metering equipment. The role involves deploying AMR endpoints, troubleshooting, and performing load surveys in a non-supervisory setting in Gig Harbor, WA.

Required is a high school diploma or G.E.D. with metering coursework, a Journeyman Meterman certification, and a valid Washington driver’s license. CPR/First Aid and safety certifications are also expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. with coursework in electricity, math and trigonometry.
• Journeyman Meterman certification required.
• Valid Washington driver’s license.
• CPR and first aid certification required.
• Flagging and forklift certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Programs, installs, tests, repairs, and maintains meters and metering equipment; deploys and troubleshoots AMR endpoints.
• Calibrates and programs primary and secondary metering standards.
• Maintains meter inventory.
• Performs load and voltage surveys from metering data.
• Investigates large customer needs and plans metering installations.

Education

High school diploma or G.E.D., supplemented by courses in electricity, basic mathematics, algebra, geometry and trigonometry
