Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and relevant license/certifications.
• Must hold state-issued Journeyman Electrician's license.
• Demonstrated ability to manage workload and use computerized test programs.

Responsibilities

• Attend technician training schools to learn relay standards and complete courses.
• Maintain records for outages, reports, and equipment.
• Install, commission, test, and repair protection and control equipment in substations.
• Operate substation equipment and perform switching and grounding as needed.
• Complete forms and test records and submit to appropriate departments.
• Work in varied conditions, including weather and emergencies.
