Job summary

GPH Boiler & Mechanical Services in New Jersey is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, service, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems. You will perform preventative maintenance on rooftop units, boilers, and related mechanical systems while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years of commercial HVAC experience, EPA Universal Certification, and a valid NJ license.

Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years of commercial HVAC service experience.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Experience servicing rooftop units, boilers, and mechanical systems.
EPA Universal Certification is required.
Experience with electrical controls and refrigeration systems.
Valid New Jersey Driver's License.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders, rooftops, and in mechanical rooms.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Dependable with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance on rooftop units, boilers, furnaces, and related systems.
Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, airflow, controls, and mechanical issues.
Install and replace HVAC equipment and components as needed.
Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Complete service reports and maintain documentation.
Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, and team members.
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
