• Specialized experience in law enforcement or equivalent, demonstrated ability to make arrests, apply laws, and work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question individuals suspected of immigration or customs violations and inspect documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using covert surveillance and night-vision equipment.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using government assets (vehicles, vessels, ATVs, etc.).
• Perform checks of farms, buildings, traffic, and transportation to support USBP operations.
