Yard Smart in Northeast Ohio is seeking an experienced Winter Equipment Operator to join our snow operations team for a seasonal winter position.

The role focuses on operating loaders, skid steers, and other snow-removal equipment to clear snow from commercial properties. You will perform basic inspections, assist with salting, and work with a crew under varying shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating loaders, skid steers, or similar equipment — required.
• Experience with commercial snow removal preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment safely in winter conditions.
• Dependable and willing to work overnight, early morning, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts when needed.
• Ability to respond when called for a snow event.
• Good communication and ability to work as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Must be able to work outdoors in cold, snow, and other winter conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate skid steers, loaders, and other snow-removal equipment.
• Clear snow from commercial parking lots, drives, walkways, and other properties.
• Load, push, pile, and relocate snow as needed.
• Assist with salting and general snow-removal operations.
• Perform basic equipment inspections before and during shifts.
• Communicate with supervisors and other crew members during snow events.
• Follow all safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines.
• Help keep equipment clean, fueled, and ready for the next storm.
