Yard Smart in Ohio is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators for winter snow work across Avon, Avon Lake, Westlake and surrounding communities. The role involves operating loaders and skid steers to remove snow and keep commercial and public spaces accessible during storms.

The position is seasonal, pays hourly, and includes on-the-job training, safety programs, and company-provided gear. Applicants must have legal work authorization, a valid license, and be able to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of proper use of snow removal equipment such as skid steers, tractors, and compact and full-size wheel loaders.
• Provide your own cold-weather clothing including winter boots, coat, hat, and gloves
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• 18 years of age or older
• Reliable transportation to the location during night or day shifts
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as compact or full-size wheel loaders, and skid steers, to clear snow and ice from walks, drives, and parking lots.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site, while ensuring the current landscape and property are not damaged during snow removal.
• Maintain and care for company-provided equipment, tools, and vehicles.
• Attend training classes and seminars as requested by management
