Job summary

Macy's is seeking a Warehouse Lead to drive daily department goals in our distribution center. You will monitor hour by hour performance, adjust staffing as needed, and provide guidance to colleagues on operational processes.

Responsibilities include leading daily meetings, coaching staff, ensuring safety, maintaining productivity metrics, and coordinating with the Operations Manager to balance freight flow and ensure timely order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other equipment
• Read and understand employment policies and safety rules in English

Responsibilities

• Lead daily meetings to review priorities and shift transitions.
• Encourage staff to contribute process/culture improvements and champion initiatives.
• Ensure colleagues are trained, cross-trained, and certified where required.
• Track KPIs for merchandise movement, service levels, accuracy, and productivity.
• Assist in onboarding new hires with facility tours and orientation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workplace.
• Communicate clearly and provide feedback to team members.
• Provide hands-on direction for warehouse operations and fulfillment processes.
• Recognize and celebrate performance improvements with the team.
• Adjust staffing to meet daily targets and close performance gaps.
