Altaquip, founded in 1997, has become one of the largest providers of commercial and consumer equipment service in the U.S. We offer services on a number of product categories, such small engine repair and outdoor power and lawn maintenance. Altaquip services over 100 manufacturer’s brands including Craftsman, Briggs & Stratton, Toro, Caterpillar, Husqvarna, Ariens, Generac, EGO, Greenworks and MTD, to name a few.

The Driver is the face of the company and must always project a professional and positive image of Altaquip while maintaining and building excellent customer relationships. This individual is responsible for the safe operation of a motor vehicle and safely picking up and dropping off units at customer facilities so that the customer is given an excellent service experience. This individual will also be required to maintain compliance with all company policies/procedures and DOT regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Operate a company provided truck in an efficient/safe manner complying with company policy and DOT regulations
  • Pick up and deliver units from stores to Service Center for repairs and return units once repairs are completed
  • Accurately track all units via pickup and delivery logs, and obtain required sign offs on all units
  • Build and maintain relationships with the customer
  • Utilize and comply with driver IT tools and administrative requirements
  • Maintain truck cleanliness/organization
  • Maintain truck compliance with DOT and company maintenance requirements

Other Responsibilities

  • Housekeeping of all common shop areas and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Record of safe vehicle operation/clean driving record
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Ability to read and write the English language
  • Valid U.S. Drivers’ License

Working Conditions

  • Trucks will be loaded/unloaded in a shop environment or on a dock when loading/unloading from a customer location
  • Majority of working hours will be spent driving a box truck
  • The ability to move and lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis is required

Salary range of $20.00 - $22.00 per hour, DOE.
