Job summary

Paycom seeks a Temporary Residential Counselor for the Hypothermia Prevention Program in Reston, VA. You will help operate the shelter from December 1 to April 1, ensuring safety, dignity, and responsive service to guests and volunteers.

Responsibilities include site opening/closing, managing donations, guest orientation, and shift documentation while maintaining a clean, organized shelter environment. Prior experience with trauma-informed care is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Mandt or similar certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus.
• Experience with vulnerable individuals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the Hypothermia site daily.
• Manage donations and assist donors with forms.
• Greet visitors and answer inquiries.
• Provide shelter guest orientation and support.
• Complete shift documentation and incident reports.
• Maintain clean and organized shelter areas and supplies.
