Job summary

Utah Department of Transportation in Santaquin is seeking Seasonal Transportation Technician I to support roadway maintenance. You will operate heavy equipment, perform snow and ice removal, repair signs and guardrails, and respond to weather events.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, ability to lift 50 pounds, and willingness to work nights and be on-call. You must live within 30 minutes of Santaquin Station and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) upon hire.
• Able to report to Santaquin Maintenance Station within 30 minutes during call-outs.
• Willingness to work nights and be on-call during severe weather.
• Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds and working outdoors in all weather.
• Dependable, team-oriented with focus on safety and public service.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplows, graders, blowers and other heavy equipment for snow and ice removal.
• Repair traffic signs, fences, guardrails and other roadway features.
• Safely operate, inspect and maintain CDL-restricted vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Assist with urgent roadway issues and storm response as needed.
