Job summary

Anoka County is seeking a Seasonal Traffic Engineering Assistant - Intern for Spring/Summer 2027 at the Anoka County Highway building in Andover, MN. The role focuses on installing traffic video recorders, collecting data, and supporting permit reviews and field inspections.

The position is seasonal, on-site, with typical hours 7:30 am to 4:00 pm and a starting pay of $22.00 to $24.00 per hour, depending on experience. Advancement opportunities exist within the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrolled in civil tech or related degree program preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Install traffic video recorders and traffic counters at various sites.
• Collect and record data from video recorders and counters.
• Assist in preparing traffic count reports and analyses.
• Assist with permit reviews and field inspections.
• Assist with traffic control layouts and timing coordination.
