County of Anoka is seeking a Seasonal Traffic Engineering Assistant - Intern for Spring/Summer 2027 in Andover, MN. The role involves installing traffic video recorders and counter devices, collecting data, and assisting with permit reviews and field inspections.

Work hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm. The position is on-site and non-exempt with an anticipated start around April/May 2027. Applications are reviewed as received.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Must be at least 17 years of age by time of hire.
• Currently enrolled in a civil technology, construction management, or civil engineering degree program or related field.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.
• Successfully pass criminal history and driver's license background check.

Mansioni

• Install traffic video recorders and accumulative traffic counters at various locations within the Anoka County Highway system.
• Collect, record, and assist in compiling data obtained from the video recorders and accumulative traffic counters.
• Assist in preparing traffic count reports, traffic signal warrant analysis, maps, and graphics.
• Assist with review and field inspection of permits.
• Assist with preparing and reviewing traffic control layouts.
• Assist with reviewing plats and development submittals.
• Assist with field work related to permanent signage and striping.
• Assist with various tasks related to traffic signal timing and coordination.
