Job summary

RSM in Texas is seeking a dependable Seasonal Assistant Store Manager to lead a temporary Toy Shop during the holiday season. You will support daily store operations, assist the Store Manager, greet customers, answer questions, and help keep the sales floor customer-ready.

This role involves operating the POS, processing payments, managing the queue, replenishing shelves, and helping with opening/closing tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous customer-service or cashier experience preferred.
• Comfort with POS systems and handling transactions preferred.
• Friendly, energetic, patient, and able to engage customers of all ages.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and quick to learn weekly activity instructions.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with day-to-day store operations and serve as an additional point of support for the team as needed
• Greet customers, answer product and store questions, help shoppers locate items, and refer issues to the Store Manager
• Operate the POS to process merchandise, payments, and receipts while following transaction-control and fraud-prevention measures
• Explain instructions for the make-and-take activity, distribute materials, manage the queue, and maintain the activity area
• Maintain full, front-facing shelves; recover and organize merchandise; identify low-stock items and assist with replenishment
• Assist with opening tasks (recovery, shelving, signage, setup, register readiness) and closing tasks (returns-to-shelf, cleanup, supplies, prep for next day)
• Follow safety, incident reporting, loss-prevention, dress-code, device, and customer-service requirements; rotate duties as needed
