Job summary

FAO Schwarz is seeking a Toy Demonstration Manager who will lead the magic on the demo floor, building the standard and the team to turn moments of wonder into lasting guest memories. This role focuses on demonstrations, storytelling, and product knowledge to drive sales and guest delight.

You will shape floor culture, manage performance, hire and onboard Leads, and own the operational framework for demos, launches, and peak trading periods to ensure flawless execution.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience in retail or experiential environments.
• Deep specialist expertise in demonstration, performance, or experiential retail.
• Proven experience developing first-line leaders, with coaching skills.
• Strong business acumen, able to read performance data and drive a sales goal.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and peak retail periods.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Demonstrations: define world-class demonstration standards and embed them in the team.
• Lead the Team: hire, onboard, coach, and calibrate Leads; set expectations and recognize great work.
• Run the Operation: own systems, routines, inventory, and readiness for launches and peak periods.
• Drive Business Performance: foster a sales culture, analyze trends, and allocate resources for impact.
• Partner Across the Business: collaborate with Operations, Visual, and Store Leadership on brand-aligned demos.
