Seasonal Temporary Customer Service Attendant – Potter Park Zoo

Description

Under the supervision of the Customer Service Manager and the Guest Experience Supervisor, provides customer service to Potter Park and Zoo guests. Maintains a neat and stocked work area, prepares food according to health code safety standards, performs basic math, manages cash drawer, makes cash drops, and prepares reports and tally sheets.

Essential Functions

• Provides excellent customer service to guests.
• Keeps work area clean and stocked.
• Counts cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Monitors work radio for emergencies and follows all zoo emergency procedures.
• Informs supervisor of needed supplies, equipment repair, customer service issues, and safety concerns.
• Prepares and stores food safely according to health standards.
• Prepares reports and tally sheets, such as daily visitor counts, parking passes, and guest passes.

Other Functions

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Adheres to departmental standards regarding HIPAA and privacy issues. May be required to perform duties similar to those in the job description during a public health emergency.

• Basic math skills required.
• Prior cash handling experience preferred.
• SafeServ Certification preferred.

Physical Requirements
