H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You’ll collect client information, prepare returns, and answer questions with guidance from experienced teammates. No prior tax experience is required as training and support are provided.

You’ll earn an hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge and grow in the role. Flexibility to handle peak periods is noted, with an emphasis on client service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach
