Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations with confidence. You will prepare accurate returns, uncover savings opportunities, and build lasting client relationships—backed by leading training, technology, and an incentive plan that rewards your impact as you grow in tax expertise.

This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, with opportunities to develop advisory skills and serve a diverse client base during tax

Qualifications

Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields including individual and business returns
Experience in a client facing, consultative, or advisory role
Strong verbal and written communication skills; explain tax concepts clearly
Must complete continuing education and meet IRS and state requirements
High school diploma / GED / equivalent required

Responsibilities

Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide recommendations
Build trusted client relationships with empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities
Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive client-focused office environment
