H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complex tax returns and guide clients through tax scenarios in person at a local H&R Block office. You will interview clients, identify savings opportunities, and provide clear recommendations with the support of industry-leading training and technology.

The role emphasizes building trusted client relationships, handling diverse tax situations, and collaborating with the team to maintain a client-focused office environment.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including explaining tax concepts clearly to clients.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide clear recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and maintain a client-focused office environment
