Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns for clients with complex tax situations, in-person at a local tax office. You will interview clients to understand finances and tax implications, provide personalized recommendations, and identify savings opportunities within H&R Block products.

You'll deliver tax-ready results, support clients through IRS notices, and collaborate with team members to maintain a high-performing, client-focused office

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields.
• Experience in client-facing advisory roles is preferred.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• Tax knowledge for individual and business returns.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications.
• Provide personalized tax-saving recommendations and cross-sell H&R Block products.
• Offer IRS support, tax notices, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive office environment.
