Job summary

H&R Block in Irvine, CA is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations, prepare accurate returns, and uncover savings opportunities, backed by industry-leading training and technology. This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office.

You'll interview clients, advise on tax implications, build lasting relationships, and provide IRS support when needed.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of tax prep, accounting, finance or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles.
• Strong communication skills, ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct client interviews to understand financials and tax implications.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend HR Block products.
• Provide IRS support, notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive office environment.
