Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience in a client facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse and complex situations (individuals and businesses).
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess financial situations and tax implications; provide personalized recommendations.
• Build trust with clients through empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
