CLA is seeking an experienced Seasonal Tax Preparer to join our tax team. This role prepares tax returns for individuals or businesses, or on behalf of a trust or estate, and helps clients comply with federal, state, and local tax laws while maximizing tax savings.

In this position you will handle 1040 preparation, data entry into tax software, client communications, and proper billing records. A 1-year tax-prep background and a high school diploma are required; an associate degree is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• 1 year of relevant experience in tax return preparation preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree preferred.

• Prepare 1040 forms for individual income tax returns and file electronically or by mail.
• Identify deductions, credits, and exemptions and ensure compliance with tax laws.
• Collect and organize tax documents and enter data into tax software.
• Communicate with clients to answer questions and provide guidance on tax matters.
