CLA seeks a Seasonal Tax Preparer to join our tax team in Washington. You will prepare individual and business tax returns, ensure compliance, and maximize tax savings for clients in a collaborative, flexible environment.

Responsibilities include tax preparation, client communication, document organization, and billing support. A high school diploma is required; Associates degree is preferred, with 1 year of tax-prep experience being advantageous.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant experience in tax return preparation preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 1040 forms for individual income tax returns and file electronically or by mail.
• Calculate tax liabilities and apply deductions, credits, or exemptions as applicable.
• Collect and organize tax documents and enter data into tax preparation software.
• Communicate with clients to answer questions and provide guidance on tax matters.
