Job summary

H&R Block, a leading tax services provider, is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs and support from a specialist team.

You will conduct tax interviews (in person and virtually), prepare complete tax returns, and help grow the business while delivering IRS assistance and compliant tax services. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and CPA or Enrolled Agent status are preferred; prior experience is required.

Qualifications

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns for individuals, trusts and partnerships
• Interview clients in person or via virtual tools to gather tax information
• Mentor and support teammates
• Grow client base and retention through cross-selling of services
• Assist with IRS notices and audits as needed
