Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with complex tax situations and deliver personalized recommendations.

You will prepare accurate returns for individuals and businesses, conduct client interviews, and build trusted relationships while leveraging training and tools. This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office and offers an incentive plan based on impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles.
• Must meet continuing education and IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individual and business returns.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications; provide personalized recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
