Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate tax returns and advise clients. You will conduct in-depth client interviews and build trusted relationships while offering tax-saving opportunities and HR Block products.

The role is in-person at a local HR Block tax office with industry-leading training, technology, and an incentive plan for performance. Prior tax experience and education credentials are valued.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields
• Experience in client-facing, consultative roles
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Identify tax savings opportunities and relevant HR Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance
• Collaborate with teammates to maintain a positive client-focused office
