Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses and help clients navigate complex tax situations.

You will interview clients to understand their finances, offer personalized recommendations, and identify savings opportunities while leveraging H&R Block’s training and technology. This in-person role serves clients at a local H&R Block office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including individual and business returns
• Strong client-facing, consultative or advisory experience
• Ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• Tax knowledge assessment completed successfully

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Provide recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
