You will deliver consultative service at a local office, leveraging training and technology to help clients navigate complex tax situations and build lasting relationships. The role is in-person, with a focus on delivering high-quality service, meeting IRS requirements, and supporting clients through diverse tax scenarios.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience in a client facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a client-focused office environment.
