Job summary

H&R Block in Camas, WA is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex returns with confidence. You will prepare accurate returns, identify savings opportunities, and build lasting relationships through empathetic, consultative service.

You'll work with industry-leading training and technology, earn a competitive hourly rate, and participate in an incentive plan that rewards your impact while you develop your tax expertise and serve clients in a local office

Qualifications

• Must pass the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation or related experience.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and life changes.
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notices, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
