Job summary

H&R Block in Washington state is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional. You will prepare complete, accurate returns for individuals and businesses, and conduct in-depth client interviews to tailor recommendations.

You’ll build lasting client relationships, deliver guidance on tax savings, and provide IRS support and audit assistance as needed. This in-person role offers training, a competitive hourly rate, and opportunities to grow in tax and financial services.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• 1+ year experience in tax prep, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping including individual & business returns
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
