Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs and benefit from advanced tax training to succeed.

You will interview clients both in person and virtually, prepare complete tax returns, and help grow the business by providing IRS support and cross-selling services. This role offers seasonal work with flexible scheduling and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA or EA certification preferred.
• 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support (including audit representation for Circular 230 associates).
• Mentor and support teammates.
