Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an experienced Tax Professional for a seasonal role to serve clients with diverse tax needs. You will conduct tax interviews in person and via virtual tools, prepare complete tax returns, and help grow the practice by offering additional services.

Training and support from an expert team will help you succeed in a fast-paced environment. Preferred candidates have a CPA/EA or equivalent, a Bachelor’s in accounting, and 5+ years in accounting or tax.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (required).
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification (preferred).
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support (including audit representation where applicable).
• Mentor and support teammates.
