Job summary

H&R Block in Minnesota seeks a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to join a local franchise office and help clients with diverse tax needs. You’ll interview clients virtually or in person, prepare complete and accurate tax returns, and provide IRS support with the backing of a supportive team.

Qualified candidates have CPA/EA or equivalent, strong accounting background, and experience with complex returns; a high school diploma or higher is required, with ongoing tax training provided.

Qualifications

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• All certification levels can provide tax notice services
• Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation
• Mentor and support teammates
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
