H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional in Illinois to prepare complex tax returns and interview clients to understand their financial situations. You will offer personalized recommendations, identify savings opportunities, and build trusted client relationships in a supportive office environment.

Qualifications

Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; explain tax concepts clearly.
High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations, including individuals and businesses.
Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
Provide clear, personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities.
Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
