H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional in Illinois to prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and small businesses, interview clients to understand financial situations, and deliver clear, personalized recommendations using our industry-leading training and technology.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field.
• Experience in a client-facing advisory role and ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must meet IRS/state requirements and complete continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and suggest applicable H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive client-focused office environment.
