Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns for individuals and businesses, uncover savings opportunities, and build lasting client relationships.

The role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office and includes a strong training program and incentive plan. You will conduct client interviews, explain tax concepts clearly, and provide guidance on notices and audits as needed while collaborating with a supportive team in a busy office

Qualifications

• Successfully completed HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• 1+ year of tax prep/accounting experience including individual and business returns.
• Client-facing/consultative role experience.
• Ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients.
• Must meet IRS/state requirements and have a HS diploma.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess finances and implications.
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, notices, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team and foster a client-focused office environment.
