Job summary

H&R Block in Utah (Roosevelt) seeks a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complex tax returns and build lasting client relationships. You will interview clients, offer personalized guidance, and highlight tax-saving opportunities using HR Block’s tools and training.

In this in-person role, you will provide IRS support, respond to notices, and work with the team to maintain a welcoming, client-focused office environment.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and implications.
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance when needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
