Job summary

H&R Block in Ohio is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complex returns and advise clients with confidence. You’ll conduct in-depth client interviews, identify tax savings opportunities, and deliver personalized recommendations using the firm’s training and technology.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of required HR Block assessments listed in the role.
• 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, or bookkeeping including individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must meet continuing education and IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications, then provide recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities and HR Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
