H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to assist clients with complex tax situations, prepare returns, and provide guidance using our training and digital tools. This in-person role is located at a local H&R Block tax office in Charleston, SC.

You will interview clients, identify tax-saving opportunities, and deliver client-focused service while complying with IRS and state requirements; prior tax experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language
• Must comply with IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and implications
• Identify tax savings opportunities and relevant HR Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive client-focused office environment
