Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Experienced Tax Professional for a seasonal, in-person role at a local tax office in Mount Pleasant, SC. You will prepare complete and accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses, interviewing clients to understand finances and provide personalized recommendations.

You will build lasting client relationships, identify tax savings opportunities, and offer relevant H&R Block products while delivering empathetic, consultative service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including individual and business returns
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individual and business returns
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations, life changes, and tax implications
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed
• Collaborate with team members, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment
