H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations and prepare accurate returns in a local office.

You will interview clients, identify tax-saving opportunities, and offer personalized recommendations, supported by strong training and technology. You will provide client-focused service, build relationships, and contribute to a positive office culture while meeting IRS/state requirements and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and implications.
• Provide personalized recommendations to maximize tax savings and explain options.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a client-focused office environment.
