Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete tax returns for clients with complex tax situations in a local Highland, Indiana office.

You will conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials, provide personalized recommendations, and identify potential tax savings opportunities. You will deliver empathetic, consultative service, support clients through IRS notices, and collaborate with the team to maintain a positive, client-focused office

Qualifications

• Completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• At least 1 year of tax preparation/related experience
• Experience in a client-facing advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with complex situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and build client relationships
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
