Job summary

H&R Block in Indiana is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns and advise clients. You will interview clients, identify tax savings, and deliver trusted, empathetic service in a busy office.

In this in-person role, you’ll work with a supportive team, receive industry-leading training, and have opportunities to grow within tax and financial services during peak season.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend products
• Provide IRS assistance, tax notice guidance, and audit support as needed
• Collaborate with team and maintain a client-focused office environment
