Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses in a local in-person office. You will interview clients, explain complex concepts in simple terms, and identify tax savings opportunities while delivering empathetic, consultative service.

Qualifications

Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation and related fields.
Experience in a client-facing, consultative or advisory role.
Clear communication of tax concepts to clients.
Must meet IRS and state continuing education requirements.
High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and provide recommendations.
Identify tax savings opportunities and cross-sell relevant H&R Block products.
Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
