Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to serve clients in-person at a local tax office. You will prepare accurate returns for individuals and businesses, interview clients to understand changes, and offer personalized recommendations while leveraging training and technology.

You will build trusted relationships, uncover tax savings opportunities, and support clients through IRS notices with guidance from the team and company resources.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• 1+ year of experience in tax preparation or related field
• Experience in a client-facing advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication to explain tax concepts
• Maintain continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations
• Conduct client interviews to understand finances, changes, and tax implications
• Provide recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products
• Provide IRS notice support and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team to foster a client-focused office environment
