Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must meet continuing education requirements and IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse situations (individual and business).
• Conduct client interviews to understand finances and tax implications; provide personalized recommendations.
• Build trusted relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying savings opportunities and products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
