Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment 1
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns
• Experience in a client facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including explaining tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with complex situations (individuals and businesses)
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide personalized recommendations
• Identify tax savings opportunities and promote relevant H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notices, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a client-focused office environment
