Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to assist clients with complex tax situations, prepare complete returns, and uncover savings opportunities. This in-person role emphasizes client advisory skills and relies on our training and tools to deliver accurate results.

You’ll interview clients, explain tax concepts clearly, and build lasting relationships while contributing to a supportive local office environment and earning competitive pay with incentive opportunities.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must complete continuing education and IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive office environment
